Create a Backup

  1. In your WordPress dashboard, go to WP Product Feed Manager > Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Backup Manager.
  3. Click Add new backup.
  4. Enter a name for your backup in the field that appears.
  5. Click Backup current feeds.

Your backup now appears in the backup table. WP Product Feed Manager saves a backup of every product feed you have created.

Note: Backups are stored in wp-content/uploads/wppfm-backups on your server. They remain there until you delete them. You can also retrieve backup files via FTP to transfer them to a different server or domain.

Manage Your Backups

Each backup in the table has four action links:

  • Restore: replaces your current feeds with the feeds from this backup.
  • Duplicate: creates a copy of this backup.
  • Export: downloads the backup as a .sql file to your computer.
  • Delete: permanently removes this backup from the server.

Warning: Restoring a backup replaces all your current product feeds. Make sure you create a new backup of your current feeds before restoring an older one, if you want to keep them.

After Restoring a Backup

Restoring a backup brings back your feed configurations, but does not automatically generate the feed files. After a restore, you need to:

  1. Make sure the channel used by each feed is installed in WP Product Feed Manager. If a channel is missing, install it before continuing.
  2. Manually regenerate each product feed to produce the feed file.

Note: If a feed’s channel is not installed, the feed cannot be regenerated until the channel is added.
