Setting up your first Google Shopping feed

Updated 12 July 2026 · 6 min read

This guide walks you through creating a Google Shopping feed from your WooCommerce catalog, from installing the plugin to submitting your feed URL in Google Merchant Center. You will have products flowing to Google in about ten minutes.

Before you start

Make sure you have an active WooCommerce store with published products, and a Google Merchant Center account. If you do not have Merchant Center yet, create one first, it is free.

Step 1: Create the feed

In your WordPress admin, open Product Feed Manager and choose New feed. Select Google Shopping as the channel and pick the country and language you sell in. The plugin loads the correct field template automatically.

Step 2: Map your fields

Match your WooCommerce product data to Google required attributes. Most fields map automatically. Review title, description, product category and any custom labels you want to use for bidding.

Step 3: Generate and submit

Click Generate feed and copy the feed URL. In Merchant Center, add a new feed via scheduled fetch and paste the URL. Set a daily refresh so Google always has your latest prices and stock.
